Using colour, abstraction and retro boats, cars, aeroplanes, rockets and submarines, Jane Barney’s photo animations are a travelogue of CO2 emissions - dreamy other-worlds that draw attention to what is happening in our world.

The animations will run 24/7 and are best viewed from dusk onwards.

The Saturday workshop is an engaging and fun 3 hours that will explore how your smart phone camera can capture fabulous and interesting images in everyday life by using different techniques, filters and lenses.

The Sunday workshop you will explore how to make interesting still images and movies with AI apps.

‘art talk’ is back! We are scheduling ‘art talk’ to take place on the last Tuesday of the month and we have scheduled the next four:

6 - 7.30pm on Tue 30 April | Tue 28 May | Tue 25 June | Tue 30 July

Tue 30 April we will be discussing the work of artist Banksy, led by Kate Wall. Kate is a member and is on our Gallery & Studios Sub Committee.

Come along and join us as we chat about the nominated artist and their work. Open to members,

ARTISTIC STITCH TEXTILE ART WORKSHOPS at the NSoA

A series of 5 workshops with textile artist Alison Bogg

Artistic Stitch is a series of workshops where you will explore different ways to incorporate stitch-based techniques with mixed media. Most materials are provided. No experience necessary.

OTHER NEWS

The Kindred Kollective program is a great opportunity for youth in our local town. If you know anyone between 12 - 24 who may be interested forward this email to them. Additionally the Kindred Kollective is looking for Mentors and Facilitators to enable exceptional creative programs and/or provide mentoring for young people. If you have experience engaging with aspirational and creative people aged from 12-24, they want to hear from you! You may be required in and out of usual business hours, including during school holidays.

FACILITATORS

We are seeking artists who have experience delivering workshop style experiences in group settings with young people. Facilitating at Kindred Kollective may include collaborating with other facilitators and creatives. We are excited to hear what ideas and creative outlets you can bring to this project.

MENTORS

If you are an experienced professional involved in the performing arts, creative wellbeing and/or theatre space this could be for you. We want to give young people opportunities to speak with those in their industry of interest to learn more about future pathways for their careers and personal goals.

KEVIN BORICH CONCERT AT THE TILBA WINERY

Tony Jaggers is presenting power trio The Kevin Borich Express, in concert at the Tilba Winery.

Supported by Mark Easton and Marji Curran.

Kevin has had an impressive music career and is well known for his high-energy electric guitar style. His performance is hailed throughout the music industry as world class. Kevin was an original member of the ‘La De Das’ who had a No 1 hit with “Gonna See My Baby tonight”; as well forming Australia’s legendary band ‘The Party Boys’. He has released over 20 albums with major labels and independently, performing thousands of live shows over his 50 yr career. He has played and recorded with some of the greats including Richard Clapton, Elton John, Renee Geyer, Jimmy Barnes and Mark Hunter.

The NSoA Studios are still available for casual bookings by groups or individuals for arts, cultural and educational activities, as well as specialty workshops.
