A NEW ARTS CENTRE FROM THE GROUND UP

We hope you are keeping up with our Instagram and Facebook reels of the build. Each Thursday evening we are posting a reel, with the most recent one being for the week ending 15th August. Below are some pictures from the week ended 19 September, where you can see the walls coming up from the ground. 

Introducing bricklayers Dean Hamilton and Jeremy Glascott from Moruya Scaffolding and Bricklaying. Over the period of the build we will introduce you to new workers who are excavating, digging, concreting, bricklaying, engineering and more to make this vision a new reality for Narooma and our region.

We have rescheduled Cat Leach’s arts talk:

Art of Listening

5.30pm Tuesday 28 October 2025

Location: Fish Tank, 6/114 Wagonga St, go up the stairs, entry between Art Room and HonorBread

What does it really mean to listen? For graphic recorder and digital illustrator Cat Leach, listening is more than just hearing words, it’s an act of translation. It’s about distilling complex ideas, live conversations, and presentations into engaging, visual stories that spark understanding.

In this one-hour session, Art of Listening, Cat will take you behind the scenes of her process. She’ll demonstrate how she listens deeply, synthesises complex information on the spot, and creates digital mind maps that bring presentations to life.

WAGONGA INLET EN PLEIN AIR 

The Wagonga Inlet En Plein Air Experience has had to be cancelled for this weekend. Unfortunately we did not have enough registrations, but we love the idea so much we will reprise the cruise at another time. Stay tuned.

ARTS IN THE SHIRE

River of Art Festival 26 Sep - 6 Oct 2025

The River of Art is here once again and they have a great program of visual arts, workshops,music, dance and more.

This year we are not hosting the River of Art Prize for obvious reasons but of course it will be on in all it’s glory at the Mechanics Institute in Moruya.
