FAQs
What is the 1 in 100 program?
1
1 in 100 invites supporters and community members to purchase one or more shares investing in the life of the new Narooma Arts Centre. This model values participation and builds a shared sense of responsibility for nurturing a vibrant, inclusive cultural hub that benefits everyone.
What is a Community Shares program?
2
The model is inspired by Community Supported Agriculture, where individuals invest upfront to support local growers. Here, your investment will support arts and cultural tourism at a local level and will assist the voluntary NSoA organisation to propel the new centre..
How does it support artists / creatives?
3
This program seeks to remove the gallery hiring fees for artists and creatives. By eliminating this financial barrier, it allows them to showcase their work in a professional environment and connect with the community without the cost of renting the space.
1 in 100 share holders receive membership, including voting at the AGM, a discount on purchase of artworks from the gallery, a discount to NAC initiated workshops or classes, previews to selected exhibitions and their name on our website.
The Community Shares Program is not a donation; shareholders are proud partners and play an active role in supporting local art and culture.
