Helen Ennis
Max Dupain : A Portrait
Scheduled for 2026
This talk will take place in the new Narooma Arts Centre in the new year.
The Narooma School of Arts welcomes back Emeritus Professor Helen Ennis as our November, and last, Arts Talk for 2025.
Helen will be discussing her most recent publication ‘Max Dupain A Portrait’.
Helen Ennis is one of Australia’s preeminent curators and writers on photography. She will be talking in conversation with Barbara McConchie on the life and work of Max Dupain. Copies of the book will be available to purchase at the event.
Publishers Harper and Collins writes: From multi-award-winning writer Helen Ennis comes the first ever biography of the photographer Max Dupain, the most influential Australian photographer of the 20th century and creator of many iconic images that have passed into our national imagination.
Helen was our guest for an Arts Talk in 2023 discussing her book ‘Olive Cotton: A life in photography’. This was one of our most popular talks and we expect this talk to be as popular, so don’t miss out and book your place today.
