The gallery space in the NAC under construction.

The Narooma Arts Centre (NAC) presents an annual exhibition program celebrating creative expression and community achievements while supporting a broad and inclusive range of artistic practices and perspectives. Through this program, artists and community groups are able to show their work in the NAC, a unique community‑owned cultural asset created to serve both local residents and visitors across the Eurobodalla region.

NAC invites proposals for solo and group exhibitions to be considered for the 2027 Exhibition Program. Artists and collectives at all stages of practice are encouraged to apply for the February - July program.

COMING SOON 2026

Be/Longing

The Narooma School of Arts is proud to announce Be/Longing, the inaugural exhibition for the new Narooma Arts Centre.

To celebrate the grand opening of the NAC, we invited artists to submit a work in any medium for consideration in our inaugural exhibition.

Be/Longing invites artists to explore the physical and emotional landscapes of belonging: what it means to feel connected to community, to Country, to place, or to oneself. From the wild coastal edges of our unique environment to the quiet interiors of the self, the exhibition encourages diverse interpretations of what it means to belong.

Submissions were assessed by a panel of experienced arts professionals: Ms Meghan Kennedy, Curatorial Project Officer, Bundanon; Ms Helen Maxwell OAM, freelance curator, art valuer and consultant; and Dr Waratah Lahy, Engagement Coordinator, Narooma Arts Centre. Works were evaluated on artistic merit and response to the theme of belonging and the panel was moved by the diversity and depth of interpretations submitted.

Seventy artists and their submitted work have been selected. We are excitedly awaiting the opening of this inaugural exhibition as the final stages of the build are completed and opening dates to be announced.
