2025 Exhibitions

2025 16 - 20 January: Narooma Regional Coastal Scenes
A suite of paintings by John Bradley, reflecting the coastline and specifically the beaches from Dalmeny to Narooma. The subject matter features rock agglomerates associated with beach and coastal scenes in this region. Using photographs, Bradley paints with a focus on detail and colour, capturing the likenesses of each beach with their unique rock and headland formations.

2025 20 February - 2 March: Transiting
This was a farewell exhibition for our little gallery with a last hurrah. Eighteen artists submitted work for this group showing.

The gallery was demolished at the end of June in 2025 to make way for the new gallery.

2024 Exhibitions

2024 24 - 30 January: Fundamental. Bernie Miles and Sally Skinner present an exhibition of their recent works.

2024 8 - 11 February: Prussian Blue. Daniel Allam presents a collection of oil on canvas paintings sharing his vision of the local environment.

2024 28 March - 7 April: Place your tray tables in their upright locked position. Jane Barney presents an exhibition of photo animations using colour, abstraction and retro boats, cars, aeroplanes, rockets and submarines as a travelogue of CO2 emissions. * Laurie Anderson, From The Air lyrics 1982.

2024 19 April - 5 May: The Pose. A group exhibition by local artists who meet regularly to draw the figure form life. Lucy Badman, Mike Badman, David Campbell, Di Knoll, Lesley Lambert, Alex Newfield, Elisabeth Newfield, Kate Wall, Diana White and David Whitfield.

2024 6 - 16 June: Sea Change. A group exhibition depicting the mesmerising pull of the oceans and seas. Vivienne Bowe Wood, Diana White, Kareli Vine, Alison Spurgeon, Corin Rossouw, Margaret Moran, Barbara McConchie, Mathieu Lartigau, Donna Goulding, Camelle Deny, David Campbell, Jenni Bourke, Jane Barney, Paul Bradley, Dennis Arnold.

2024 27 September - 8 October: River of Art Prize 2024. Narooma School of Arts partnered with the River of Art Festival to present the River of Art Prize 2024. River of Art Prize winner Annika Romeyn, “Passing Through”; River of Art Prize Runner Up winner Cathy Laudenbach “What Remains, Remains”; River of Art Prize Highly Commended Katherine Boland “Burnt Orange No.1”.

2024 11 - 20 October: Turned and Pressed Art. Perpetua McInnes and Tony Jaggers. Paintings, drawings and prints by McInnes and turned bowls by Jaggers.

2024 31 October - 12 November: From There to Here. Dennis Arnold, Margaret Moran, Alison Spurgeon. Three local artists present works inspired by the landscape from here to elsewhere.

2024 21 November - 1 December: Narooma High School 2024. Works by students fro Yr 8 to Yr 12 presenting work made in the visual art program at Narooma High School.

2024 5 - 10 December: Formed and Fired. A group exhibition of pottery works showcasing various techniques taught by Jenni Bourke. The exhibition included: Selanie Waddilove, Sue Stadler, Corin Rossouw, Cat Leach, Mel Laker, Jenny Haine, Anna Bieler, Donna Anderson and Yvonne Adams.

2023 4 - 8 January: Postcards from Narooma
Group exhibition with artists from the Narooma School of Arts Urban Sketching & Plein Air art groups, including Irene Harmsworth, Margaret Moran, Janet Jones, Morna Duggan, Lorna Smyth, Alison Spurgeon, Cathie Crow, Laurelle Pacey and Judy de Smeth

2023 12 - 29 January: Frida to Feathers‍ ‍
Local Narooma artists Perpetua (Petti) McInnes and Donna Golding presented a year's work of paintings in oil and acrylic and a series of new ceramic works.

2023 5 - 17 April: Ann Michael Espinoza
Ann Espinoza solo exhibition presented a collection of works that play explored memory and recognition. The sophisticated images fluctuated between the soft edge of memory and the sharp detail of the present.

2023 14-25 June: A Stitch in Time
Audrey Jean Coxhill first solo exhibition at the Narooma Gallery.The exhibition featured Audrey’s collection of hand crafted needlepoint textiles.

2022 5 - 11 January: Euro Painters and Potters
local painters and potters Patricia Boisgard, Bernie O’Neil, John Payne (Bingie Pottery), Wendy Pollard and Linda Marshall in an exhibition that brings together two- and three-dimensional works using clay, paint, brass and pyrography.

2022 21 January - 6 February: River of Art Prize 2021
The River of Art Prize is part of the Eurobodalla’s unique regional arts festival. This year the prize was open to artists of the Eurobodolla Shire Council.

2022 1 March: Ephemeral Tag
Hoon Doctor and Byrd, Street Art project on the external southern wall of the Narooma Gallery.

2022 15 - 18 April: Keep Calm and Carry on
New works by artist Felicity Townsend. The exhibition included works that traversed a range of subjects, mediums and styles.

Tess Horwitz and Barbara McConchie’s exhibition presented works that we re concerned with looking at, and reflecting on, the natural world, its intricacy and wonder.

2022 8 - 12 July: Foraged to Fired
Kym Brookes collects objects that have been ‘discarded’ by. nature and repurposes them to. create bespoke, one-off pieces of wall art.

2022 19 - 27 September: Through the Lens of Locals
An exhibition featuring artistsAllison Aitken, Corin Rossouw, Katherine Wagner. Using the medium of photography the artists reveal their connection to place.

2021 7 - 20 January: The Art of Body Language
An exhibition of nudes drawn by Cheryl Djikic, Jarrod Elvin, Ann Espinoza, Janet Jones, Lesley Lambert, Alarna Simms, Lorraine Willcock, Judith Wood.

2021 1 - 7 April: Lorem Artis… healing through art
This group of local artists were brought together by their belief that art represents for them a very personal journey of healing.

2021 10 - 18 April: The South Coast - Not Just a Beach
Michele Skuza’s works are inspired by her time as a marine scientist on the Great Barrier Reef and the fantastic creatures and scenes found along the Australian coastline.

2021 29 April - 9 May: Paint like a child
A special window display of children’s painting from the Narooma Pre-School and the Octopus Garden Pre-School. The exhibition is in response to a quote by Pablo Picasso: “It took me four years to paint like Raphael, but a life time to paint like a child.”

2021 28 May - 6 June: This place we call home (a time capsule)
Susan Nader’s installation was an examination of the emotional attachments and complex relationships to our homes. Amongst a lifetime of collected possessions, home is where memories are made, our identities are etched and our sense of place is anchored.

2021 12 - 14 June: A long exposure
Peter Robinson - An exhibition of selected photography, artwork and sculpture spanning seventy years.

2021 16 - 31 July: Narooma Nights
Map Collective presents Narooma Nights, a series of two video projections showing in the Narooma Gallery front window mid winter in Narooma. Cat Wilson’s video art work Orbit follows the forms of two trees for one year.
UNTOLD EUROBODALLA: VIDEO INTERVIEWS by Lee Grant and Amadis Lachita, featured interviews with Eurobodalla locals, sharing their thoughts on what matters in life, and how they feel about this precious place we call home.

2021 12 - 12 November: Me We
Me, We is a mixed media exhibition by Liz McCrystal that uses roadwork and construction aesthetics to analyse the concept of romantic love. A mix of photo, text, ceramic and everyday objects.

2021 25 - 31 November: Margaret Moran, Judi de Smeth & Alison Bridle
Three local artists showing work in diverse media and individual approaches to their chosen genre. They create impressions of Narooma and its landscapes that are are familiar and hidden.

2021 11 - 15 December: Sticking Together
An exhibition showcasing works by local women mosaic artists living in Eurobodalla Shire.
