HELEN ENNIS is a distinguished and accomplished writer on photography. This talk will focus on Australian photographer Olive Cotton.
The book is a landmark biography of a singular and important Australian photographer, it’s written beautifully and is deeply moving. We look forward to hosting this special event.

Do you know or have forgotten your warm from cool colours? Transparent and opaque pigments? Complimentary colours? Secondary colours and Chomatic greys? Do you suffer from colour anxiety when creating or just sick of your same old colour palette?
Dr Waratah Lahy is an artist known for her ability to capture the beauty and humour of everyday moments through painting and drawing, she will be back in Narooma this time doing a workshop specifically designed to explore colour and its nuances when applied to paint or drawn mediums.

RELIEF PRINT MAKING Workshop
relief print making workshop
Designed to introduce participants to the endless possibilities of relief printing this workshop will be hosted by 3 members of the NSoA: Barb McConchie, Ann Espinoza and Petti McInnes.
Participants will form 3 groups of 4 and rotate between 3 print stations to experiment with:
1) the inking and printing of lino blocks supplied and cut by instructors
2) create relief prints using texture and organic matter - exploring positive/negative space
3) mono printing creating an image through painting and mark making.
At the end of the afternoon you will take home a minimum of 3 A4 prints ready to frame.
